Fort Worth Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident

Rachelle Dickerson was killed in West Ft. Worth on May 23, 2009. Rachelle Dickerson was 46 years old. Rachelle Dickerson was hit by a car and killed early Saturday morning as she walked on the Interstate 30 service road near Spur 341 in far west Fort Worth.

The Tarrant County medical examiner listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma of the head and lower extremities resulting in the accident.

Police said the woman was walking north across the service road shortly after 2:30 a.m. when a motorist heading eastbound on the service road struck her, vaulting her over the car before she crashed through the rear window and into the back seat.

The 20-year-old woman driving the Oldsmobile Alero received cuts from flying glass, police said.

There has been no word on fault.
