Worker, Police Officer Injured in Building Collapse

Irving, Texas: A demolition worker and a police officer both suffered serious personal injuries when a building set for demolition collapsed.

The worker was inside the single story commercial structure when a bulldozer accidentally hit the building causing it to prematurely collapse. The worker was trapped inside. He suffered two broken legs. The police officer was injured when he was attempting to rescue the worker.

This was just one of multiple construction accidents in the Dallas - Fort Worth area in the past two days.

The worker was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital for his injuries. The police officer was taken to Baylor Medical Center for treatment.
