A woman who lost control of her Ford Explorer on the Katy Freeway early this morning died in an accident that distracted other drivers, causing subsequent collisions.
The deceased driver, who was not identified by police, was driving westbound about 2:20 a.m. when she crashed into a concrete divider.
“The vehicle rolled and she was pronounced dead at the scene,” Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said. “It appears the crash was speed-related.”
