HALTOM CITY — A 50-year-old man died early Thursday after he was hit by a pickup as he was walking on a Northeast Loop 820 service road, police said.
Authorities had not released the identity of the victim.
The accident was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday on a westbound service road of the highway between Haltom Road and Beach Street.
The pickup driver stopped and called police, Haltom City police Cpl. Cody Phillips said Thursday.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed against the pickup driver.
