Officials said that the three-car wreck occurred about 8:15 p.m. at Bay Area Boulevard and Red Bluff, said Vance Mitchell, Pasadena Police Department spokesman.
Chronicle news partner KHOU-TV reported that authorities said an 18-year-old woman sitting in the passenger seat of a Honda Civic was killed when it was broadsided by a pickup truck. The pickup had the green light and was traveling at high speed.
The male driver of the Civic was taken to a hospital by ambulance and is listed in stable condition. A female in the back seat was hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries.
The identities of those involved in the wreck were not released.
