Two teenagers were killed Sunday evening after their pickup truck collided with another vehicle, went out of control and landed upside down in a creek bed in west Grand Prairie, police said..

Both teens, a male driver and female passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Their names were unavailable Monday morning because police wanted to make sure their relatives had been notified.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 2007 Ford Focus, was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released. She has been identified as Crystal Rayfield, 21, of Arlington.

Police said the pickup and the car collided about 7 p.m. as both were traveling westbound in the 2300 block of West Pioneer Parkway, near the Tarrant-Dallas County line.

Both vehicles lost control before the pickup left the road and landed upside down in a creek bed.

The crash is still under investigation, police said.

The teens' deaths bring to six the number of Grand Prairie fatalities this year.
